After last weeks win the team were looking to start a winning run. The opening 20 minutes started well with the teams work rate and enthusiasm penning Godalming and Farncombe back in there own half. As the half went on Godalming started to come back into the game and the half ended 0:0.
The second half didn’t start well with the home team getting two goals, the second coming from a good save from keeper Sam Nutter but the ball dropped straight to the opponents striker for a tap in. The boys work rate didn’t drop and the break through came from a set piece and a bullet header from Kieron Wells finding the back of the net.
Mere pushed for an equaliser and came very close but the final whistle ended all hopes of a comeback.
